Health Mission Officials Commend Medical Services at Gokavaram Community Health Centre

Rajamahendravaram (East Godavari district): The Community Health Centre (CHC) in Gokavaram recently received praise from National Health Mission (NHM) Population Research Monitoring Officers, Dr. Rajesh J Nair, and Dr. MC Mathews during their visit on Friday. The officials conducted a thorough review of the center’s performance and services from April 2022 to March 2023.

The team meticulously examined various aspects of the Health Management Information System (HMIS) reports, lab reports, and AYUSH records pertaining to the center. Dr. N Sanath Kumari, the District Area Hospitals Coordinator, highlighted that the officials interacted with patients to understand their experience with the medical services provided.

The evaluation encompassed critical elements, including JSSK (Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram), JSY (Janani Suraksha Yojana) funds, and delivery reports related to the Arogyasri budget, along with expenditures linked to NHM funds. Furthermore, the inspection covered the pharmacy, laboratory, labor room, and operation theater.

The officials also examined reports related to Non-communicable diseases (NCD) and the Newborn Stabilization Unit (NBSU), as well as the Microsatellite Stable (MSS) online data entry system.

Dr. Sanath Kumari expressed appreciation for the efforts of the medical staff in providing exceptional services to the community. Their commitment was evident through an increased number of deliveries and surgeries conducted, which contributed to improved healthcare in the region.

The visit by NHM Population Research Monitoring Officers not only acknowledges the commendable work of Gokavaram CHC but also underscores the significance of quality healthcare services in rural areas. The review process is crucial in identifying areas of strength and areas that require further improvement.

  • Reduce prevalence of Leprosy to <1/10000 population and incidence to zero in all districts
