In response to West’s comments, Sanders acknowledged that the current state of the U.S. economy is not the best it could be. However, he emphasized the importance of progressive unity in these challenging times, particularly when democracy’s future in the United States is uncertain.
Sanders pointed out that the critical task at hand is to mobilize the entire progressive community to stand against Trump or any Republican nominee. He called for backing Biden as a means to achieve this objective.
